Dominion Theology Sweeping Young Adult Ministries

The rise and influence of Dominion Theology is quickly spreading through evangelical ministries and especially in the mega-church circles.

It provides a path of attaining righteousness through social and economic justice activities with an unbalanced and magnified interpretation of Genesis 1:26 (aka Cultural Mandate.)

The basic premise of Dominion Theology is that God’s plan is to redeem the creation/culture that was lost in the ‘Fall’ through ‘human-kind’s’ ability to carry out this task. It minimizes the Sovereignty of the Godhead, maximizes man’s ability & replaces Jesus with human leadership of the ‘Church’.

10 Reasons to Reject Kingdom-Dominion Teachings by Tricia Tillin

Here is just a ‘taste’ of Dominion Theology at work. Passion Conference and Jubilee Conference.

  1. A number of red flags went up as I perused Bob Robinson’s blog.

First red flag: ‘Vanguard’– just the name and its definition gave me pause. If this church is ‘leading’, then I don’t want to follow!

Second red flag: The prefix ‘neo’ in front of “calvinist” and “puritan”.

“Neo’ means new or recent. As wise Solomon declared in Ecclesiastes 1:9-10, …”there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything which it may be said, “See, this is new”? It has already been in ancient times before us.”

So we must conclude that those who promote & declare something as ‘neo’ or new must be deceived!

Third red flag: In the comment section there is praise for Andy Crouch’s book ‘Culture Making’. The host of the blog even recommends this book as ‘essential’ reading! …more evidence of deception.

Undoubtedly, these youth ‘leaders’ are deceived and are deceiving!

Parents must stand firm against these ‘savage wolves’ which are ‘among you’! They will not ‘spare the flock.’ (Acts 20:29)
