Glenn Beck politically conservative but . . .

For a long time I have been troubled by the spirituality of Glenn Beck. He is on the money when it comes to politics, consistently criticizes liberal media and liberal democrats.

BUT when it comes to matters of faith and in particular Christianity he is deceived. Glenn Beck is a professing  member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints {Mormon}. If he professes this as his religion then he is not a Christian. We do not serve the same God, and his heavenly eternity is not secure.

The Mormon Church’s View of the Bible

christmas-sweater1Glenn Beck wrote a book, The Christmas Sweater along with producing live performances throughout the Christmas season. Hundreds if not thousands of readers and viewers have testified to being significantly moved ‘spiritually’ by Beck’s personal story and the symbolic impact of a  Christmas sweater one year.

In a controversial decision, Focus on the Family, retracted their promotion of the book. Which is surprising because initially Focus on the Family did endorse the book and received significant critisim from the Christian community. {See the video and *UPDATE* at bottom of this article}

Furthermore, Dobson, publicly, endorsed the U.S. Presidential Candidate, Mitt Romney {also a Mormon}

Pastor Ken Silva at Apprising Ministries directs a recent post to Glenn Beck with these gentle words at the end:

Rather, it is the most loving thing we can possibly do. And Glenn Beck you are more than welcome to contact me anytime to discuss this matter further. Nothing would make me happier than to see you come to know the real Jesus; that said however, I would not be following God’s admonition to love you as I love myself if I was not willing to tell you the truth. May the Lord grant you repentance.

Our prayer is that Glenn Beck does contact Pastor Silva for a clear understanding to the true life saving Gospel of Jesus Christ.

  1. This was very interesting! I enjoy listening to Glenn Beck, but am concerned about his Mormon faith.
